PCS Copilot (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website pcscopilot.com. We sell personalized PCS (Permanent Change of Station) playbooks to U.S. military service members. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to deliver your playbook:

Email address

To deliver your playbook link and send order-related communications (receipt, delivery confirmation).

Move details

Rank, branch, dependents, origin base, destination base, report date, OCONUS status, and other PCS-specific inputs you provide during intake. Used solely to generate your personalized playbook.

Payment information

Credit/debit card details are collected and processed entirely by Stripe, Inc. We never see, store, or have access to your full card number.

Anonymous usage analytics

We use PostHog to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, button clicks, general device/browser info). This data is anonymous and not tied to your identity.

3. How We Use Your Information

Generate your playbook — Your move details are processed to create a personalized PCS playbook tailored to your specific situation.
Deliver your playbook — Your email is used to send you the link to access your playbook.
Process refunds or support requests — If you contact us, we use your email and order information to assist you.
Improve the product — Anonymous analytics help us understand which features are useful and where the site can be improved.

That's it. We don't use your data for anything else.

4. What We Don't Do

✕We do not store your credit card information (Stripe handles all payment processing).

5. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted services to run PCS Copilot. Each has its own privacy policy:

6. Data Retention

Your move details and playbook are retained so you can access your playbook link at any time. If you want your data deleted, email us at roger@pcscopilot.com and we will delete your personal data within 30 days.

Anonymous analytics data is not tied to your identity and cannot be deleted on a per-user basis.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

PCS Copilot uses minimal cookies and local storage:

Analytics cookies — PostHog may set a cookie to distinguish unique visitors. This data is anonymous.
Stripe cookies — Stripe may set cookies during the checkout process for fraud prevention.
No advertising cookies — We do not use any advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking scripts.

8. Email Communications

When you purchase a playbook, we send you:

A playbook delivery email with your unique access link
A payment receipt from Stripe

We will never add you to a marketing email list without your explicit opt-in consent. If you ever receive unwanted email from us, email roger@pcscopilot.com and we will remove you immediately.

We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. All commercial emails include an unsubscribe mechanism and our contact information.

9. Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

Request your data — Ask us what personal information we have about you.
Request deletion — Ask us to delete your personal data. We will comply within 30 days.
Opt out of analytics — Use a browser ad-blocker or disable JavaScript to prevent PostHog tracking.
Unsubscribe from email — Email us and we will remove you from any communication list immediately.

California Residents

While PCS Copilot currently operates below the thresholds that trigger the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we believe every customer deserves transparency. The rights listed above apply to all users, including California residents. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

10. Children's Privacy

PCS Copilot is designed for active-duty U.S. military service members. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information:

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption in transit)
Database storage uses encryption at rest
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe (PCI DSS compliant)
Access to production systems is restricted to the site operator

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately at roger@pcscopilot.com.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of PCS Copilot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
